Somnium Times: You seem to be the ultimate multi-talent in the VR scene, Wildy. A furry rocking both VRChat and Somnium Space, DJ, producer, and singer. What first ignited that passion for music, and what shaped the genres you vibe with most?

Wildy: Music’s always been my passion. I started out messing around with my guitar, putting together beats in Cubase and recording vocals in my room, just chasing that feeling you get when sounds just hit right. Growing up, I was all over the place genre-wise. No matter if electronic, rock, pop, punk, even some metal, so I never really believed in sticking to one lane. That carried over into VR too. I just make and play what feels right in the moment, stuff that makes people move, feel, or just forget the outside world for a bit.

Somnium Times: Tell us about your jump into live VR concerts. When did it all kick off, and what kind of hurdles did you go through with your setup during the first shows?

Wildy: Well it all started with a Karaoke group that I was in. Big shoutout to Navy Azura and the Bark After Dark friend group. Back then it was just my guitar and my voice until one day my friend Direblu brought me to the oganizers of Vrelium. It was a huge 3 day festival they putting together and I was honestly not ready for playing on a stage on this level. Of course there and on the next following shows there where a couple of technical hurdles, but every show taught me something new, and once it clicked, I realized VR live shows had this raw, intimate energy you just can’t get anywhere else.

Somnium Times: Lately you’ve been lighting up Somnium Space like crazy, always bringing that infectious high-energy spirit to the crowd. What keeps pulling you back to Somnium specifically, and how do its features take your performances to the next level?

Wildy: Somnium just hits different. All the possibilities you have there, and also the strong bond inside the community….you can feel the energy bounce back at you when people are dancing in front of the stage. Also from technical side the freedom you get there with the option of actual C# scripting opening up so many doors. Denevraut managed to code a Audio Link system similar to the one in VRChat but instead of only being triggered by a Live Stream it can also be triggered by your Audio in Voice Chat. So that means I can perform with nearly 0 latency and still have the light system reacting to my music. That and many other features definitely will bring live performances to the next level

Somnium Times: Real-time tipping through the Somnium Space Tip Jar must feel pretty wild. What’s your take on that feature for artists like you getting love straight from the party-goers?

Wildy: It’s honestly incredible. For artists, especially indie and VR-based ones, that support means everything. It’s not just financial, but also emotional fuel. Knowing someone vibed hard enough to tip mid-song is such a boost.

Somnium Times: Can you tease us a little about your performance at the December 27-29 festival? Got any surprises up your sleeve, or a special message you want to convey to the crowd through your performance?

Wildy: I don’t want to spoil too much, but expect super high energy and a few experimental tracks. I’m definitely planning some moments where the crowd becomes part of the show. More than anything, I want people feeling connected to the music, to each other, and to themselves. End-of-year shows are special, and I’m putting my whole heart into it.

Somnium Times: Last but not least, where should fans head online if they want to dive deep into the world of Wildy and keep up with everything you’re doing?

Wildy: The best place to start is my socials: Twitter/X and Tiktok are where I’m usually most active. I know I been slacking a bit lately with making content but that’s because my live shows and rehearsals kept me quite busy. But you’ll definitely catch show announcements, music drops, and random chaos there. I’m also around in Somnium Space a lot, sometimes the best way to keep up is just showing up and dancing with me

Somnium Times: Amazing, thanks so much Wildy. We can’t wait to be blown away once again by your performance!
