Stripping Down Avatars and Souls: “Never Have I Ever” Lights Up Somnium Space

If you wandered into the Magic Forest in Somnium Space on May 16th, you might have stumbled into something that looked like a simple game – but what unfolded was one of the most hilariously revealing, intimate, and unfiltered events this corner of the metaverse has seen in a while.

Initially hosted by Meloz, and later by CrazyNici and Artur, Somnium’s first official round of Never Have I Ever was less of a party game and more of a social x-ray. What started as laughs turned into real stories, unexpected confessions, and the kind of camaraderie you only get when everyone drops their filters – both literally and digitally.

Lines, Laughs, and… Underwear

Players lined up behind ten in-world markers, stepping forward only when a statement applied to them. Sounds innocent, right? Well…

Never have I ever played VR naked or in my underpants,” Meloz tossed out casually.

Without missing a beat, Shodah replied, “What do you think I’m doing right now?”

From there, it escalated.

Artur Sychov, Somnium’s founder and CEO, let loose with tales of accidentally undressing his avatar mid-Zoom call during a high-stakes presentation. “I was stressed like hell,” he laughed, recounting how he desperately tried to fix his virtual wardrobe while pitching the City Center to serious stakeholders.

Let that image burn in.

And it gets better. Or worse, depending on your perspective.

Libellule86 was the star of the evening, winning twice!

Never have I ever motorboated someone,” declared CrazyNici, catching the crowd off guard with a burst of laughter and confusion. Not everyone grasped it right away – until Shodah gladly offered a live demonstration on Artur, clearing things up in the most unforgettable way.

“I hope my wife’s not watching this on LinkedIn.”, Artur laughed.

More Than Just Laughs

It wasn’t just spicy stories and digital debauchery. There was a surprising amount of vulnerability and insight. Relationships formed in VR, moments of escapism, awkward social exits – all were on the table. People shared stories about loneliness, connection, and the weird, beautiful spaces that virtual life opens up.

“I thought I knew these people,” Shodah said at the end, “but this game really peeled back the layers. I’ll never look at my boss the same way again.”

One quote summed it up perfectly:

“You never know a person fully.” – Shodah

Real-Time Tips for Virtual Wins

The cherry on top? The event doubled as a perfect real-world demo for the new Tip Jar application, launched in Somnium Space V3.0.2. After winning the first round, Shodah spawned his Tip Jar right in-world – and Artur tipped him live with Cubes, Somnium’s in-game currency. Meanwhile, libellule86, the standout of the night, scored two wins and walked away with a well-earned 20 CUBEs. A fun game, a live demo, and real rewards – now that’s how you blend entertainment with innovation.

Tip Jars in Somnium Space

It was instant, smooth, and a glimpse into how digital monetization should feel – effortless and integrated into actual social interaction.

Wilson, another participant, summed it up best:

“The Tip Jar is honestly the star of the show. Yesterday’s giggles were more than just fun – they were a reminder of what this platform is really capable of. These game show-style meetups? We need more.”

Looking Ahead

From naked confessions to heartfelt moments, Never Have I Ever in Somnium wasn’t just fun—it was a vivid reminder that social VR is about real connection, even when it’s filtered through avatars, jokes, and virtual drinks.

Whether you showed up in your digital finest or just your underpants (virtually, of course), everyone walked away with something more valuable than Cubes – a deeper connection to the people behind the avatars.

And let’s be honest: some memories you just can’t unsee.

Speaking of seeing it for yourself – if you’re curious, you can catch the full game night in the video below.
