One thing to remember however, is that while VR Mode and Desktop Mode share the same world (users in VR and Desktop Mode can mingle), the Web Client offers a separate experience focusing on visiting individual parcels.
Creating an Account
To begin, users must first create an account through the Somnium Space website. You will be asked to enter a bunch of details, including your avatar display name. Somnium Space will not share any of the details you enter.
Downloading the Launcher
Once registered, click Play Now and download the Somnium Launcher.
After download execute it and install the following clients:
VR + Desktop Client: Via this client you will be able to jump into VR or access Somnium in Desktop Non-VR Mode.
Workshop Client: The Workshop Client will give you access to various tools, such as the Builder tool to create Metaverse structures, and Avatar tool to create and manage your expression, as well as a Market tool to buy and sell wearables, building items and more.
