Art and Activism come to Somnium Space for a unique art exhibition on June 25th, 23:00 CEST.

Meet NAC – Not Art Club

Numerous NFT artists have been working in secrecy for three months to reveal what they feel is the most thought provoking collaborative effort of our time.

They were sparked by a Twitter post with the ambitious idea to self-organize a global collaborative art project. Each participant receiving 1% of the profit.

They then assimilated into a chat server on a platform called Discord. Soon after collaborating artists were able to vote on ALL the details surrounding this ambitious project, including what the theme would be.

They ironically dubbed themselves NAC, or Not Art Club, and officially joined forces on March 21st, 2021. Since then the project has turned into one machine of a community and organization whose mandate is to help each other succeed as artists, in every market and universe.

In the year 2021, we see distrust as governments materialize money in and out of existence. With little ramification for the future. It’s been just over one year since the pandemic struck the world in horror. Leaving global households to worry simultaneously about how to survive. Small businesses, mental health are also casualties of this horrific attack on humanity. Still, somewhere on earth, an artist is trying to make a living.

Not Art Club is now accelerating at an incredible pace, even attracting attention from Jeff Crane, at NFT the Movie, a new documentary filming in June about the recent NFT craze.

The Art: “The Last Bell”

…Nasdaq bell sounds, as 100 pieces of a puzzle appear on the screen through a shady screen. Finally displaying 100 pixels of utter-confusion that make up the image of a US $100 bill, before being incinerated in flames…

100 artists came together to share 100 global stories and perspectives surrounding the topic of currency and freedom.

The art piece is a 40 second MP4 video being auctioned as a Non-Fungible Token.

* It includes a giant assembled rendering of the US $100 bill, created together by 100 artists.

* It includes access to stories and art from 100 global artists. From 35 different countries speaking 23 different languages! Their goal: To TRANSFORM our concept of currency by turning this US $100 bill into 100 Ethereum through art. The equivalent of $220,000 at the time of this writing.

Bidding for this NFT – “The Last Bell” – will start on June 28th on Foundation.

Pre Release Exhibit

A pre-release exhibition will take place in SomniumWEB on June 25th, 23:00 CEST and will feature DJ @ImblakeHots. It will be held in Somnium Space at @ArtificCZ‘s Lakehouse gallery, parcel 662.
