In a new Medium post, Somnium Space announced the winners of the February 2025 Somnium WORLDs Competition. Taking the top spot and earning the $300 prize is xCommando with French Vibes. In second place, K_Cat impressed with Quantum Demo, securing a $150 reward. Rounding out the top three, CHANDALAK’s CHANDALAND claimed third place and a $50 prize.
Every month, Somnium Space will crown the top three creators with real-world money—$300 for the top spot, $150 for second, and $50 for third. But it’s not just about the prizes; it’s about the glory. Winners will be featured across Somnium’s socials, and the #1 creator gets a spotlight interview to share their story and inspire others.

New Verified Creator Status
Somnium Space is introducing significant updates to its world builder verification system with the launch of two new tiers: Verified and Verified+. These tiers are designed to recognize and support creators by expanding their ability to upload and manage virtual worlds. Verified creators will receive a profile achievement badge and the ability to upload up to 10 worlds with a total storage limit of 300MB. For those pushing the boundaries of world-building, the Verified+ tier offers an even greater opportunity, allowing up to 50 worlds with a total of 1GB of storage. Whether creators choose to build a single large-scale world or multiple smaller experiences, these updates provide greater flexibility and creative freedom.

In addition to these upgrades, Somnium Space continues to reward its most dedicated builders. Each month, creators have the chance to win cash prizes through the Somnium WORLDs Competition. However, the ultimate prize awaits at the end of 2025—one standout world builder will be awarded a Somnium VR1 headset, free of charge. This high-end PCVR headset is designed to push the limits of virtual reality, making it an invaluable tool for those shaping the metaverse.
