We had to be patient, but the wait was worth it – Somnium Space has finally revealed the winners of the June and July Somnium World Building Competition. And what a lineup it is. The submitted worlds showcase the incredible imagination and technical skill of the community, delivering experiences that range from scientific simulations to mesmerizing art spaces and deeply atmospheric builds.
Every month, Somnium Space will crown the top three creators with real-world money – $300 for the top spot, $150 for second, and $50 for third. But it’s not just about the prizes; it’s about the glory. Winners will be featured across Somnium’s socials, and the #1 creator gets a spotlight interview to share their story and inspire others. June Winners

- 2nd: Unca – Dobbstown AMC: Scary, freaky, abandoned hospital.
- 3rd: KilkennyCat – The Quantum Crystal: A fascinating dive into Duane’s 1923 quantized model of crystal scattering, demonstrating Laue scattering and the reciprocal lattice “without reference to interference laws.”
July Winners
- 1st: Thad_Gyther – Thad Recursive Room: A clever experience that places you in a room… within a larger room containing a larger version of yourself… which itself sits inside an even bigger room with an even bigger you. In short: recursion at its finest!

- 3rd: A-ruse – Cozy House: Very cute experience with lots of cats and birds! A brighter remake of Evermist Manor by Mei, originally from VRChat
