October/November World Competition Winners Announced!

The spooky season may be behind us, but the chills live on forever in Somnium Space thanks to the incredible creators who entered this year’s October/November World Building Competition. The Halloween-themed contest brought out some of the most atmospheric, creative, and downright haunting worlds.

I believe the real magic of these monthly competitions is that it is not about who has the most experience or the biggest budget. It’s about who has that one ridiculous, brilliant, “wait, hear me out” idea and then simply builds it. The playing field is as level as it gets in Somnium. All you need is an idea and the guts to share it.

Every month, Somnium Space will crown the top three creators with real-world money – $300 for the top spot, $150 for second, and $50 for third. But it’s not just about the prizes; it’s about the glory. Winners will be featured across Somnium’s socials, and the #1 creator gets a spotlight interview to share their story and inspire others. First Place: Spooky Beats by Libellule86

Who hasn’t heard of Libellule by now? She’s been on an absolute tear lately and is one of the fastest-rising, most talented builders I have come across in Somnium. And she did it again. Spooky Beats is a pulsing, rhythmic nightmare of light, sound, and atmosphere that perfectly captures Halloween energy. Fancy animations, perfect mood, and pure immersion. Made with OpenBrush, this is once again a living painting and an instant classic if you ask me.

Second Place: Box Realm by cozyvrc

Imagine, you’re a tiny little human lost in a giant, stylish bedroom made of cardboard boxes. The scale is flawless, the details adorable and the whole experience feels like a cozy fever dream. This is a true favorite of mine. To see the world from the perspective of a tiny human always fascinates. Great entry based on an outstanding concept, with great execution. Well done Cozyvrc!

Third Place: Spooky Castle by IrinaStepArt

A hand-crafted gothic fortress dripping with classic Halloween spirit. Beautiful custom models, PS2-era horror vibes, glowing lamps and haunting windows. Every corner feels deliberately designed and full of personality. It is hauntingly simple, yet fascinates. Crafted by IrinaStepArt, this entry totally deserves third place.
