Stream Mic and PC Audio in VR, OBS, Discord and More With Voicemeeter: The Free Virtual Mixer

Do you want to perform live in VR? Have you ever wondered how to talk to your friends over Discord or Skype while playing them audio from your PC games and/or music apps?

Are you interested in streaming a dj mix or video game without investing too much in hardware?

Notes:

Step 1: Download Voicemeeter

Open any of 3 versions- I like Potato 

Hardware inputs on left

In the middle: virtual inputs (music apps)

Bottom right masters (volumes)

Above A1-A3 hardware outputs (headphones speakers)

Step 2: right click little speaker bottom right of computer window go to “sounds” (if it doesn’t take you to advanced audio settings, scroll down to find them.”

Step 3: playback tab > Voicemeeter Input (VB-Audio VoiceMeeter VAIO)> Set Default > OK

This sends Desktop channel to computer 

Step 4: Set up A1 source in upper right Click A1, select your main output- I’m just selecting WDM for now. You can try different and see what works.

Step 5: Select Mic under Hardware Input one. You can rename the channel right-clicking name.

Step 6: toggle off b1 in mic channel and switch to b2

Step 7: toggle on A1 on channels to monitor

Step 8: Right click little speaker bottom right of computer window go to “sounds”

Step 9: Go to Recording tab and select Voicemeet Aux Output (Aux Vaio)/b2 output> Set Default > OK

Step 10: Now we’ll connect music apps: download Virtual Cable and Ear Trumpet/Music

Step 11: Hit up arrow in bottom right of computer window> select ear trumpet > open your internet browser (mine is Chrome) and play some music to test it out> right click your browser name in ear trumpet, select double arrows and send sound to virtual cable

STep 12: Next we’ll connect communication apps: Go to playback tab> select 

Voicemeeter Aux Input and right click and set as default communications device>apply and click OK

All communication will be sent to Voicemeeter Aux> you can rename communication if you’d like. You can rename the Vaio channel Desktop.

Step 13: coennect DAW. Go to Daw output and select VAIO3 Input as output there

Step 14: open Somnium Space> open tablet and settings> select Voicemeet Aux Output (Aux Vaio) as your mic

Uninstall

If for any reason you are dissatisfied with Voicemeeter or Virtual Cable, follow this tutorial to uninstall from your computer succesfully.
