Somnium Space announced yesterday that week 3 of the Secondary Land Offering has gone live on OpenSea, the NFT marketplace. The week will run until November 22nd, during which a total of 50 parcels and 9 Somnium Worlds will be on auction.
The first two weeks of the SLO were very successful with nearly $600,000 in total sales. It is expected that this trend will continue in the weeks to come. The main reason for this is that Somnium Space NFT’s aren’t collectors items, but tokens that represent specific features. Once unlocked (by simply owning the NFT) they provide users with a whole range of possibilities to unleash their creativity. Parcels allow users to build structures, upload multi-media content, open nightclubs, stores and crypto art galleries (to name a few monetization options). Somnium Worlds – a revolutionary new feature – go beyond that as they will allow users to plug in entire custom developed immersive experiences to Somnium Space (Somnium Space will provide a Unity SDK for this).
Owners of a Somnium Space World will be able to put portals to those experiences right onto parcels and visitors who enter those portals will find themselves in a totally new, immersive and custom developed world. We have yet to come across NFT’s with a greater utility potential.
There is another good reason for participating in the Secondary Land Offering. Somnium Space gives away cool rewards to those who spend a certain minimum amount. Rewards include unique artwork, laptops, Oculus Quest 2, etc.
