CNN’s Anna Stewart immersed herself in Somnium Space once again for a meeting with Artur Sychov and several community members.
In Decoding the Secrets of the Metaverse we follow Anna on her quest to discover what the Metaverse is all about. At some stage she is fitted a Teslasuit and meets up with Artur Sychov and community members TheRealCyberPunk88 and CrazyNici.
She plays chess at Oasis Meta Games (OMG) HQ, races in a VRACE car – a virtual reality crypto vehicle producing brand spawned out of the collaboration between TheRealCyberPunk88 and Natural Warp – dances with CrazyNici, and has a lot of fun.
The observant viewers will notice one thing: Somnium Space is really the only fully fledged operational virtual reality platform she visits. While she meets up in VR in Meta, has a fun encounter with Blu in his spaceship Xanadu, they’re falling completely short of the capabilities the Somnium Space platform offers: A persistent, open and blockchain based virtual reality platform that provides users the tools for open ended creativity.
Back to Anna playing chess. She played this inside a second layer experience created by a user, or rather the company OMG. OMG is the creator of the OMG Engine, a solution based on Somnium WORLDs, which are programmable NFTs allowing users to place portals to custom immersive experiences on their VR land parcels. She also raced in NFT cars created and sold by a brand which is 100% owned by community members.
It shows how far Somnium has come and that they are at the forefront when it comes to forging the future of the Metaverse.
