Road to SLO is accelerating: Wrap-up week 4, City Center Parcels

The fourth week of Somnium Space’s Road to Secondary Land Offering (or Road to SLO in short) has just finished, again way before the expiration of the 3 days of Dutch auction style selling of 25 XL(arge), M(edium) and S(mall) parcels. This week not only followed the highly successful first, second and third week of Road to SLO, it exceeded it.

The Road to SLO is 10 consecutive weeks of parcel auctioning by Somnium Space. After the Road to SLO the company will announce the date of the Secondary Land Offering (SLO), which is most likely happening during the second half of 2020. City Center Parcels

The fourth week focused on Small, Medium and XLarge City Center parcels just west of Somnium Waypoint. Such parcels are very lucrative as people who join Somnium and spawn into this VR world are bound to visit these places and whatever has been built on them.

Number of sold parcels

A total of 25 parcels were put on auction by Somnium Space and all 25 were sold way before the end of the 3-day auction period.

The total amount spent landed on almost 149 ETH, which is 6 ETH on average per parcel. This is significantly higher than the averages of the previous 3 weeks (4.4 ETH, 2.8 ETH and 3.8 ETH respectively).

Price for each parcel

The following chart shows the price per parcel.

Average Price per parcel type/size

The following chart shows the average price per parcel size. XL parcels’ average (8.06 ETH) is more than twice the average amount for Medium parcels (3.76 ETH). This confirms what we have seen during the first three weeks: XL parcels sell for twice the amount compared to M parcels. The sole S parcel sold for 2.6 ETH.

Total amount spent per week of SLO

The following chart shows the total amount spent per week in the 10 week Road to SLO.

The total amount that has been spent after 4 weeks of Road to SLO is 424 ETH.

Number of Parcel Holders

Number of parcel holders stands at 238 at the time of writing. This is an increase of 8 compared to 1 week ago. It represents an increase of 15 compared to 2 weeks ago.

So the pattern is emerging that each week of Road to SLO, Somnium can welcome 7-8 new landowners.

Other charts

The following chart shows the purchased parcels per owner address.

Rank on OpenSea

Like in previous weeks Somnium Space keeps topping the OpenSea ranks as far as total weekly transaction volume is concerned, which currently stands on 532 ETH. This means an overall 2nd place.

Didn’t get a parcel this time around? Do not despair, the fifth week of Road to SLO is just around the corner!
