Road to SLO shifting into higher gear: Wrap-up week 6, Parcels near Disco District

The sixth week of Somnium Space’s Road to Secondary Land Offering (or Road to SLO in short) finished yesterday after 3 days of Dutch auction style selling of 25 XL(arge) and M(edium) parcels AND two exclusive 6 XL parcels Estate. Every week of Road to SLO keeps surprising. This week’s results show that last week’s record were not a glitch. The Road to SLO is 10 consecutive weeks of parcel auctioning by Somnium Space. After the Road to SLO the company will announce the date of the Secondary Land Offering (SLO), which is most likely happening during the second half of 2020. Parcels near Disco District

The sixth week focused on Medium and XLarge parcels near what has been labelled Disco District, south of Somnium Waypoint, on the shores of Deep Oasis Lake. Parcels in this area are deemed valuable as the Disco District is quickly turning into a hot spot for anyone looking for fun and a great night out. For example, Club Hex, already famous for its great live music, is located here.

Number of sold parcels

A total of 25 parcels were put on auction by Somnium Space and all 25 were sold way before the end of the 3-day auction period.

The two 6 XL Estates didn’t go on Dutch auction, but allowed for classic bidding. In the dying minutes of the auction, the bids rose to high levels. The combined final amount for the two estates landed on 100 ETH (close to USD 20.000).

The total amount spent landed on more than 257 ETH (nearly USD 50.000) which is 6.95 ETH on average per parcel. This weeks numbers compare to the numbers from last week, which broke every record of Road to SLO thus far.

Average Price per parcel type/size

The following chart shows the average price per parcel size. XL parcels’ average (8.77 ETH) is more than twice the average amount for Medium parcels (3.57 ETH). XL parcels continue to be in very high demand, but this applies for all land in Somnium.

Total amount spent per week of SLO

The following chart shows the total amount spent per week in the 10 week Road to SLO.

The total amount that has been spent after 6 weeks of Road to SLO is 942 ETH (USD 180.000).

Number of Parcel Holders

Number of parcel holders stands at 253 at the time of writing. This is an increase of 3 compared to 1 week ago and 30 compared to 2 weeks ago.

Like in previous weeks Somnium Space keeps topping the OpenSea ranks as far as total weekly transaction volume is concerned, which currently stands on 674.15 ETH (USD 130.000). This is second to none.
