Somnium Space is a revolutionary and quickly maturing VR playground. Recent features and feature announcements keep us all on the edge of our seats. This isn’t an exaggeration. Every new feature they introduce makes just so much sense and adds more value. At an accelerating speed it seems.
Only in the last few months or so we learned about Somnium Worlds, the WEB client, mintable Avatars, Gliding and much more. Oh yes, and a very neat feature that makes the in-world tablet/camera follow you as you walk. The time of VR vlogging has arrived!
One area that has quickly proven to be a perfect use case is that of showcasing and selling art directly from within VR. In a multitude of ways. Via regular 2D images to entire 3D experiences you can immerse yourself in.
Art and Avatars
Some creative souls have quickly seen a perfect combo in mintable art and mintable avatars. Have a look at the pictures below:
The results are absolutely stunning. To the extent that we at Somnium Times almost got emotional when seeing these images. One Somnium Space member we talked to simply proclaimed ‘look no more!’ Somnium Space is the place to be.
We’re not in the business of comparing VR worlds as each initiative is different and should be judged on its own merits, but for those looking for second to none immersive experiences and are not afraid of constant new feature announcements, we indeed believe Somnium is the place to be.
And as if this wasn’t enough, it is now also possible to showcase 3D models of your avatars. Setting up an avatar store in the middle of Somnium Space and sell your minted avatars has become a breeze.
There is so much excitement around what is going on right now. And we’re only at the beginning of the Metaverse revolution.
