Road to SLO a huge success: Final wrap-up

The tenth week of Somnium Space’s Road to Secondary Land Offering (or Road to SLO in short) finished on Sunday, May 24th, after 4 nail-biting days of Dutch-style auctioning of 35 parcels and 4 large estates.

This week was the last of the 10 weeks Road to SLO campaign and Somnium Space turned it into something special; a mouth-watering cherry on the cake. In total more than 100 parcels were put on auction: A mix of small, medium and xlarge parcels, listed in Ether and Cubes, and 4 giant XL estates. To give you an idea, the biggest of these estates, situated in the south west of Somnium, counted 28 XL parcels. The other ones counted 27 XL parcels, 2 x 9 XL parcels and 12 XL parcels respectively.

Any doubts that these parcels would sell or sell as quick as during the previous 9 weeks (no one really doubted that though) were totally shattered. There is no sign of weakening interest. On the contrary, the interest in Somnium Space land appears bigger than ever before. All parcels sold and record breaking amounts were paid for the large estates.

Record sales in the final week of Road to SLO.

The Road to SLO is 10 consecutive weeks of parcel auctioning by Somnium Space. After the Road to SLO the company will announce the date of the Secondary Land Offering (SLO), which is most likely happening during the second half of 2020. Afterthoughts

In one word? WOW!

Who could have contemplated that Road to SLO would get so much traction that week after week the NFT’s on auction seemed to change owner faster than you could repair a flat tire? How can this success be explained?

Actually, if you dig a bit into Somnium Space, the state of their VR world, the rate at which they launch features and ultimately what their virtual land parcels represent and enable you to do, the success of Road to SLO cannot come as a surprise. Somnium Space is a place where you can unleash your creativity and implement revolutionary use cases. In a second to none immersive environment. Who doesn’t want to be part of that?

VR is being warped into the future. It’s no longer a gimmick, but a transformative mainstream technology that will revolutionize the way we work, play, hangout, and collaborate.

Somnium Space is leading the way.

Didn’t get a parcel?

Do not despair if you didn’t get a parcel during the Road to SLO campaign. You can still buy parcels on the secondary market on OpenSea. Also, the company has announced that the Secondary Land Offering will be kicked off in October this year.
